What are corn sticks, a sweet delicacy that does not leave indifferent not only children, but also some adults. But, as it turned out, peaceful representatives of the underwater world are also not averse to enjoying an unusual tasty treat.
Making a corn stick bait
To make a corn bait for white fish, we need:
- corn sticks (preferably in powdered sugar);
- flour;
- warm water;
- one egg.
There are actually two options for making a corn stick bait. The first is more focused on fishing with a float rod. The second option is more variable and allows you to safely fish with feeder tackle, but first things first.
Float fishing recipe
The first step is to turn our sticks into a base for the dough. To do this, pour the entire pack into a saucepan and add warm water in portions, kneading the sticks in parallel. It is not worth pouring in all the water at once, otherwise you can easily overdo it, turning our base into an unusable slurry.
Ideally, you should get a sticky thick gruel that can easily mold into lumps. It remains to add a little flour and knead the dough. The amount of flour is determined by eye, depending on the moisture content of the corn base. The end result is a fairly soft and slightly sticky dough with a corn flavor.
Feeder Fishing Recipe
Roach and crucian carp are delighted with such an unusual nozzle, but it is worth considering that this dough does not hold very confidently on the hook. For lovers of feeder fishing, you will have to slightly modify the nozzle, turning the dough into a kind of mini boilies.
To do this, add one raw egg to the dough, knead well again. If desired, you can add additional flavor to the bait by seasoning the dough with vanilla, garlic, or any other flavoring agent.
After kneading the dough, we begin to pinch off small pieces from it and roll the balls the size of a pea. Then we throw the resulting blanks into boiling water and cook until the peas float up. It remains to discard them in a colander and allow to cool. At the end, we get an excellent bait made of corn sticks, which perfectly holds on the hook and perfectly catches any peaceful fish.
